A few fun things

First off, needles are not fun...we had a blood donor clinic, and man was that not fun to go to! I ended up not being able to give since I had a headache (which was form the stress of pumping myself up to give blood) and I'd been to Mexico in the lsat month. So yes...couldn't give blood. Then I went down with Fifi to hold her hand, she was okay, but I almost fainted!! They kept playing with the needle and moving it aorund and ugh...*shudder* so yes, almost fainted watching someone ele give blood!! That would have been great! Therefore, I think I will never be able to give blood on account of the fainting thing and the headache...actualy just thinking about it made me feel faint and get a headache...excuse me while I get a drink of water...

On a better note, I did my civic duty on Monday and voted...not that I cared, but people kept telling me to go and vote so I did. Some civic duty that is!

But! I think the end of the week will be much better, Kiki's boyfriend is coming down and since the boy is bringing his skis we are going to go skiing/snowboarding! Yay! And it is only $10 to ski and $10 to rent! Score!! We might end up doing this more than once! And I think the boy is bringing Firefly episodes with him! Yay!

Had my first Grammar Greek test...it was hard!! I hadn't prepared as much as I should have, but still, it was harder than the last teacher's tests....stupid test...but yes, I lust do well on them to get 100 on the course! Wish me luck!

Right, off to class! Have a great weekend everyone!! And remember, Think of the solution, not the problem!!

Sites to check out!

Okay, I don't know how many of you have seen these sites, but man are they funny! They are giving the subtitles found in "Revenge of the Sith" when it has been translated from English to Chinese and then back to English! They are hilarious! There are two sites, and then the first site has links to more bad subtitles! They are awesome!

Apartment activities

Well, as an apartment we went to the gym and ran or walked some laps and then came back to bake! We had to run, we made banana bread and cookies, how else can we justify eating it all??!

Now I said no to watching a movie since I didn't want to stay up late, 8.30 classes are a killer! So we played Hoopla instead, and stayed up til 1.30am!! Oh well, sometimes you have to sacrifice sleep when you are having fun!!

Last Sunday I went skating with the roomies and MB and then went to MB's place! We watched cooking shows all afternoon and when dinner time came we got really creative! Chicken in a sauce of garlic, lime zest and juice, clementine zest, orange juice, and soya sauce! Then you put pieces of clementine in at the last bit of cooking and it is so good!! So yes, go wild in the kitchen, ignore the cook book and go nuts! We certainly did! That was only my dish! Kiki made some broccoli dish, I don't like broccoli, but it wasn't too bad!! We are thinking of having an Iron Chef competition! Should be interesting and fun if it happens!!

Totally mad.
Utter nonsense.
But we'll do it because it is brilliant nonsense.

Bright sun but freezing cold

Hello all and welcome to my world.

It is of course a gorgeous day outside, but only when you look at it from the inside!! I hate that! Crazy sunny and all but so cold! I couldn't feel my hands after 2 minutes of walking. Grrr....I wish it would give a little more warning before freezing like that. Seriously, Saturday was 5 degrees out and Sunday was -17!! Honestly! But apparently it is going to warm up and rain. Lovely, then we will have ice all over. At least we can watch the people fall (Fifi is always one of the ones who slips but she never falls which is good).

Trying to get another job on campus so I can at least try to have more than 2 hours a week! But I have no idea if I will get the other job. I was told by the girl who helps run the office that she would put my name in since it is by reference only. We shall see what comes of it! Plus, I really have to start giving tours! I am scared!! The same girl told me to go on a tour she gives so I can hear what she says. If I can, I definetely will so I can get into the frame of mind for it! Plus, money is always nice.

Speaking of money, I really need to start making some to pay for my trip to Paris. It has been finalized, I am going to Paris with the Mad Artist and the tickets have been bought! Yippee!!

I think that is all for now...really must go do some homework! Toodles all!!

Back in class

Well, I have reentered the snowy world of university, and started classes today. They were so short, it was lovely...stupid 8.30 class...I've neverh ad an 8.30 class here since I started! It was hardto get up this morning, maybe I should go to bed a little earlier on MOndays and Wednesdays!!

Happy Birthday Fifi!!

Christmas and New Year's were wonderful, full of family, friends, good food (a major plus) and alcohol of course, but not too much. It was great to be home, but now I am back in res and while I enjoy the people, I really like home much more!! Oh well, I am officially half way through my degree!! Awesometastic!! And I think this semester will be more relaxed and organized. At least it had better be since I have decided not to do a thesis and just stick to course work! Less stress!! Classes seem good this semester and interesting. Plus, I get to continue with Greek! Mwahaha! New teacher though..... uh oh....!

Why is Norton Anti-virus so expensive? Grrr.....

You know, we should have a spy here....Lobster U has one, why not us? Hehehe, it would add so much to the atmosphere!

Right, must go back to knitting!! Making a hat for Fifi for her b-day! I hope she likes it!!

Erotic is using a feather, kinky is using the whole chicken.
That was a quote for M! And probably A!! Ahh the good old days in Munster 414!!
