Home again home again jiggidy jig

Well, I have done it, I finished my first year and am now back in Montreal for the summer!!
It is so nice to be back at home, in your own bed, in your house with a staircase in your house! It is awesome man! Plus, I can get the car and do things! Wow, what a change.

So yes, I had my last exam Tuesday afternoon, it was so bloody long you'd think she was trying to kill us, it is a good thing I had no more studying, my hand was dead! But yes, I was so happy to be done and then I called M, which was so fun, I laughed a lot!

My Dad picked me up yesterday and we brought all my stuff back, it fit in one car ride plus I could have brought a bit more if needed! Loverly! Then....I got to see C1 and S and Eli, which was great, we had fun scaring the guys sitting behind us in Second Cup, Eli yelled out except she has a penis, and then C1 yelled F@#* my butt....is numb. The pause just adds so much to that! Really, honestly! So yes, things not to yell in public would be those two and a few more, can't remember them. Besides, it was really nice because we laughed non-stop for however long, I haven't laughed like in ages, I missed it!

I have my old job back and my boss was really happy to see me, so things are good on that front, lots of work, but that is okay, I will get lots of money, always appreciated especially since I am going away!

Won't be able to blog for a while, I am going to the Caribbean, which I am ecstatic about therefore blogging will not be anywhere near the top of my priority list unless I find a free internet access computer. Sorry, M, no long emails for a bit!

I think that is the best update....meh, too bad if it isn't, I have things to do today, and so with that I bid you adieu!

Still studying

Well, rainy days are good for something other than puddle hopping! It does encourage studying, although I hardly need encouragement with my exam tomorrow. Last one of my first year at University, this is a big thing!

I think I already got one of my exam marks back, I got an 80 on it. I only wish I did that well in my other projects. Oh well. Let us hope I get good marks on all my exams. *fingers crossed*

Packing things takes a lot of time...I never knew, I guess because my packing to come to BU had been so gradual, now I am doing it in 3 days! It is a good way to procrastinate! I also realized how much stuff I have, nothing important but nothing I want to throw away...hmmm...I suppose it will just stay in my room as stuff until my Mom decides to throw some of it out, that is her favourite past time, cleaning my room. *sigh*

C1, we must celebrate with vodka when I get home for....everything that has happened! I want to share!! Hey, when do you jugde stuff? Good luck in that!!

I don't really have much to say mainly because I have been a hermit again, I haven't left my room/apartment except to get food or go do exams. Wow, I am a great hermit! I dhould become a professional hermit.. Anyone hiring?

Another exam shot down!

Wow, after doing all that US history studying, I am starting to think in war terms, hum, what a shame!
So yes, I have finished another exam, this one was North America Since 1860. It is really very interesting, believe you me!! This was supposed to be the long but do-able one, I did it a bit under 2 hours and I was taking my time! That is not long, we did have 3 hours for it! But my Pre-Confederate took under 2 hours also. I will just say that all my studying ingrained things into me head and so I could write essays in my sleep!

One Exam Left!! Booyah! It is on Tuesday, and then I GO HOME! And I get to go for coffee with C1!! Score!! Hehe, my priorities are a little mixed up, coffee, home, and then exam, or maybe that is normal?! The Tuesday one I think will be the hardest just from the sheer amount that I need to know, but I have been reading stuff since last week and was studying away between the other two exams. Therefore, I will succeed!!

Peppermints turn your teeth pink....

M, I have options at the top of where I type my posts with italics button and fun colours, the T with a colour palette behind it...it just appears for me...so ya! Plus, Ctrl I works the italics.

Can ferrets laugh?

I realized, I am running out of food, I will be surviving on Rice Cakes and Granola Bars! Well, I have stuff for dinner, and breakfast, that just leaves lunch, meh, it'll be fine! I just won't get veggies or fruit until i come home...hehehe, I will see an apple and pounce on it, much ike my cat pounces on bananas and starts chewing on them!

Well, back to my studying...no rest for the wicked...or for the studious until summer arrives, 3 days!!

Those who says words can never hurt them, never got hit in the head with a dictionary.

Delayed...

Sorry, I have been neglecting this in favour of studying....shocking I know, me studying! (M, you in your tree still?)

I have fallen in love with Green Day's new Album, American Idiot, it is very...lovely!! "Am I retarded or am I just overjoyed?" (I had that as my MSN name, and I got 2 votes for retarded....frightened...so now I chaged it! Sick of being called retarded!)

Saw parts of Boondock Saints, now must watch whole thing, looks like an awesome movie! I saw the beginning of the middle and then the end! So yes, must see the rest, and the Irish accents just add so much to it, I love it!

Tried to study today, my study group ended up chatting for 3 hours, and then I ended up at J and K's talking and doing nothing...studying just didn't happen today...oh well that is what the night is for, what else is insomnia good for?!

Sis goes home tomorrow...I still have a few more days....But I think they will go fast as I will be studying like mad...stupid exams are "long but do-able" I think that sounds ominous! Oh well, just more memory required. Meh!

So yes, I am no longer going to SC, my Mom got her cast off, and so we are going to the Caribbeans! Pirates!! We are going to St. Maartens, the Dutch side! (Hey Sis, isn't dat veird? Ah good old Austin Powers in Goldmember)

That's all, must go back to studying...stupid recopying of notes takes forever!!

Have a great exam period everyone! It is almost over!! (Even for you M) Good luck in all!

More poetry

Okay, I am posting a link to Samuel Taylor Coleridge's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" because I think that the poem is cool, and there are famous lines taken from it that no one knows where they came from.

Case in point:

Water, water, every where,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, every where,
Nor any drop to drink.

So yes, I hope you enjoy it, and if you do read it all in one sitting, you are to be congratulated. Stretch out arm, bend at elbow towards opposite shoulder, pat self on back saying "good job".
Have fun!

Been awhile...

"It's been awhile..." That is a song, no? Can't rememeber anymore...too much history in brain.
My bwain hurts...ah Gumpy, he's great, the flower arranging is superb! (C1, we must watch more Flying Circus!)

So I've been studying hard and trying not to look out my window too much. It is so nice out and I wish I could go out and forget everytihng, but I have these stupid exams to study for, which kinda limits the outdoors time I have...I have an hour today, but that is because I am going food shopping. Hopefully the last time this school year! Yay! And that means I get some time outside instead of going crazy inside! Hehe...he (nervous laughter)

Learnt some news from M, very disppointing, I'm sorry M. I will comfort you when I come down! And I will buy more phone cards so I can talk to you! Let us try not to have that cut off so unexpectedly next time, k? That freaked me out when the woman's voice suddenly said "Goodbye", but I should be thankful that I got a goodbye. Were you talking for a while after? Kinda like when someone *cough C1 cough* doesn't realize I fell of the sleigh at the top of hill! Hehehe, very funny to watch you talk to no one look for me under the sleigh! (Well, with me, I suppose it could happen...)

So my sis got accepted into the McGill Master's program, which is pretty cool! She will be a graduate of an undergraduate program...anyone else find that a little strange (and oxymoron-ish)? Meh, whatever floats their boats. (Congrats sis!)

Watched "The Saint" the other night, I still like it, a little silly and such, but I do enjoy it. Especially when everyone makes funny comments about it, that just adds so much to the viewing experience!

11 days til I am out of BU! Yay!! I can't wait to go home and relax for a bit and then work! (Strange, I always hated working, and now I can't wait...meh)

Consequence Free - Great Big Sea (i like the catholic guilt reference)

Na na na, na na na na na!
Na na na, na na na na na!

Wouldn't it be great,
If noone ever got offended?
Wouldn't it be great,
To say what's really on your mind?

I've always said,
All the rules are made for bending.
And if I let my hair down,
Would that be such a crime?

I wanna be consequence free!
I wanna be where nothing needs to matter.
I wanna be consequence free!
Just say: Na na na, na na na na na!
Oh! Na na na, na na na na na!

I could really use,
To lose my Catholic consience.
Cause I'm getting sick,
Of feeling guilty all the time.

I won't abuse it,
Yeah I've got the best intentions.
For a little bit of anarchy,
But not the hurting kind.

I wanna be consequence free!
I wanna be where nothing needs to matter.
I wanna be consequence free!
Just say: Na na na, na na na na na!
Oh! Na na na, na na na na na!

Oh! I couldn't sleep at all last night,
Cause I had so much on my mind.
I'd like to leave it all behind,
But you know it's not that easy.

Oh! But for just one night,
Wouldn't it be great,
If the band just never ended?
We could stay out late,
And we would never hear last call.

Wouldn't need to worry about approval or permission.
We could slip off the edge,
And never worry about the fall.

I wanna be consequence free!
I wanna be where nothing means to matter.
I wanna be consequence free!
Just say: Na na na, na na na na na!

Oh! Na na na, na na na na na!
Oh! Na na na, na na na na na!

Phone calls

I love phone calls! They always make me happy. I mean the koind that are with people you like, no crappy telemarketers or anything!
I called M today! Much cheaper to call Mexico from here then for her to call, and we got to chat for a long time! Yay! "Oh happy day!" Plus, I got to talk to Ange, haven't talked to her in a while. I've been a hermit for a bit.
O man! I watched a movie tonight...it was like a B on the bad action movie scale. It was "No Eascape" with Ray Liotta, well it was certainly interesting! It wasn't horrible or anything, but it wasn't a masterpiece! It was pretty good altogether because it didn't involve thinking! Always a bonus when you are tired. Watched "Ransom" with Mel Gibson yesterday, it is pretty good! I had fun with it! Although at times....strangling would have been useful. Oh well! So I've had movies as well as studying! Effecient if I do say so myself! (Are you shocked out of your tree M?) (Brackets again!)
So no Cuba for me, that plan just didn't work out at all. Oh well, more time to work to save up for trips and University. Stupid expenses, like books!! Not to mention the rent is going up. Grrr! Oh well...things will be fine, just need to work more, cafe here I come!
I realized, I suck at geography...I can't place anything on a map..I kinda do need that for history, so I think I shall learn that this summer, it may help a tad!
On a side note...does anyone get some of the lyrics of Great Big Sea? Some of the things are so random!! I was reading them and man, some are so weird that I couldn't get it...oh well, still fun to listen to!

Play Strip Risk. It is the only game in which you can say: "I've annexed Algeria, now give me your pants."

Classes done

Wow! I am done classes for my second semester here! That means after exams, I am done my first year, how crazy is that? This semester flew by, although there were quite a few assignments *cough useless cough* it still seems to have gone by so fast. But then, BU does have a really short schedule anyway, it is 12 weeks or something I think.
I AM DONE CLASSES!! It is great!! Yippeeeee!
Where oh where has the good weather gone? It is back to being cold, and rainy too! I take that as an insult, hello, it is supposed to be spring! Oh well, as long as it is nice soon, I suppose I have to put up with this crappiness. But, the rain kinda ruined Plan A for this evening, I was supposed to go out, I suppose watching movies isn't too bad, and I can celebrate whenever...it is BU afterall!
Right, movie time, will write more later...maybe!
M, the quote on Libby's door, it is in one of the blogs...yesterday's I think.
C1, I am still investigating that certain male specimen.

Poem

Okay, I found one of my favourite Emily Dickinson poems again, recently...if that made any sense..wow. Right so here it is!

"Hope" is the thing with feathers-
That perches in the soul-
And sings the tune without the words-
And never stops- at all-

And sweetest- in the Gale- is heard-
And sore must be the storm-
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm-

I've heard it in the chillest land-
And on the strangest Sea-
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb- of Me.

Marking systems...

So A+ what a thing to do to me! I don't know what it means exactly! How am I to calculate my class average? But I am happy to get that on my term paper! Yay! Go me! But still, she couldn't have written an actual grade? Now I have to go see and ask her! Oh well, I had to go see her anyway for Latin stuff, might as well kill two birds with one stone! On second thought, I don't want to kill any birds...what kind of saying is that? Honestly!

I just found out what is on my US history exam...it will be murder especially with 2 other exams to study for. I swear this woman is insane assinging all this. lecture notes, text book (the notes and the text are diff too...), then the visual aids/powerpoint presentations to incorporate and identity, then the articles to know by author and/or title to put into our essays and then the essay research! Ridiculous. At least my other exams don't have as much reading to do, just a lot of connections to be made. I think some things overlap at least, so maybe I can hope I get questions on that. Maybe...

Should I go to Cuba with my sis? I would have to pay for myself completely... Hard decision...I am already going to South Carolina and Mexico... lots of vacationing this year. I will think about it I guess, I have my exams on my mind first. Hmmm...all-inclusive certainly sounds nice...Vacations here I come!

"I have gone to look for myself, if I should return before I get back, please keep me here."

Courtesy of C1, Poem for Frenchman

ohh beret man..take my hand

oh beret man be in my band!

and come home to mee so we an eat brieeee

honh honh

Oh la la

I had rice pudding for the first time ever yesterday! It is pretty good, yes gasp, I tried something new, and liked it! Although I am not sure if it was proper rice pudding since it didn't have raisins or cinnamon, MB was disappointed! Oh well, still good, probably because it has sugar in it.
Saw Resident Evil yesterday (instead of doing homework), it is so cool! Although, I would never watch it alone, or with people who have never seen it since I like it when they tell me things are going to pop out, so I can close my eyes for that second and then watch the rest. Awesome way to watch it, especially if you hate scary movies, as I obviously do. "She's crazy, she bit me..." (Lovely line) Now I want to watch the second one...after J and K have though, because they can tell me what is coming. I like the outfit of Alice, I mean, it is impractical, but she is a supermodel so it fits, plus she is bad-ass in it that it is worth it! And there is the cool computer! I love her!!
Then we watched Double Jeopardy, don't have to think to watch that movie, so all went well. Plus it is a pretty good movie!
All in all a pretty good night, but I still didn't do homework.
I was supposed to write it today, the essay, and I at least got some stuff done, I have 1 of 5 pages down, yay, go me! Now tomake up the other 4...stupid creative historical assignments...grrrr. Oh well, it will soon be over, one way or another. (That sounded delightfully ominous!)
Oh damn...I forgot I have a test tomorrow...oh well, it's not one I can study for anyway.

"It's me and you against the world.

So when do we attack?"

And with that, I bid you good night.

One of those days...

Yes folks, it just happens to be one of those days for me!
I think my body has decided to go on strike as I am experiencing a general malfunction! I want to go to bed, man! But no..homework that I should have done before is now breaking down the door of my denial-house...damn reality, it never can stay away for very long.
So C2 is moving..(that sounds like situ, (latin!) so situ is moving!) I will get to see her a bit more now, that shoul be good, and if I drive her home, I don't have to go as far! Yay! Good choice C2 and family! Don't know if I will help you more tho...dislike hard labour! ^.~
In other news, F appears to be enamoured by another set of biceps... "I tried to stop her sire!" (Little Mermaid).
You know, I think I am starting to dislike case studies a lot. The particular one I am readig seems to be biased beyond all thought! Well, it is biased now, but I suppose n 1970 it was fine..well then, see what things change over time?! Oh well, it's not like I need to discuss that in a paper...hmm, "The biases of reports on Kent State: Fact or Fiction?" no no, I think I will stick to my profile of student protestors! Much easier!
The lovely world of history..mwahahaha *cough cough*!
Okay M, do you do dream analysis? I had a dream that I was part of a student protest and then things started beeping at me! (I think I read too much about the Kent State shootings before sleeping...) Then I was woken up by the phone...L called at half midnight returning my call to watch a movie...a little late...lol!

I found a quote for the day...(not that I plan on using this tactic..at least not yet!) "The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them."
- William Clayton

Lovely Saturday

Today was a good day!
My parents came up to visit, and they took me for lunch and food shopping. Once in University you really start to appreciate the things you don't have to cook, or pay for! It was great! Plus it finally got nice and even if it was a little cool, the sun was out and it was mostly a calm day.
Went to the choir concert...oh man! It was great! I really wish I could sing, especially after hearing the solos and all, wow...*crushing the envious streak in me*. Okay, that was an awesome concert, and even if people were sivk, you couldn't really tell, they performed so well! Was entertained during the intermission when F decided to save a ladybug...it was crawling on her paper and her leg and her sweater throughout the 2nd half. ALways one for the ladybugs...oh well, whatever keeps her happy. A cute guy was there (just to show that my priorities aren't too messed up with all the great music!)

Stupid insomnia has set in again...can't sleep ever...Maybe I should watch a movie...hmmm. Which one? Speaking of movies, I watched Hot Shots, 1 and 2 last night, really they are still funny! I adore them! I really should see the ones these are based on though! Then we watched parts of Romeo and Juliet (the Leonardo DiCaprio one) and had fun dissecting it...the guns are cool, the rest is and always was crap! J and K were having fun reciting the lines they remember and discussing the awesome guns!

Didn't do any homework...damn...must remember to do it tomorrow since it is sorta of due soon! But I end classes on Wednesday, finally! Yay! Party Wednesday night! I think it will be at J and K's place, but who knows?!

Bar complaint

Just a complaint.
Does anyone else feel that girls don't get service at a bar (with a male bartender) if they don't have cleavage showing? Honestly *in English accent*, just once I would like service without having C1 suggest she flashes the bartender just to get service...

On the bar note, I found a good recipe,
The Lynchmob:
1.5 oz Amaretto
3 oz Orange Soda
3 oz Sweet and Sour mix (if you don't have this, mix lemon juice and sugar (water optional), mix to taste)
Add ice.

Very good! Enjoy!

Pitterpatter

Pitterpatter of rain on my window, on my head....or is it IN my head?

I suppose since this is the first post, I shall introduce myself, I am Patterson! I apparently feel the need to write something that anyone can read...or else I am bored. Could that be the same?
Oh well! You are stuck with me now!

I usually live in Montreal, but just happen to be away at school. Lotsa fun that is....not sure if that was sarcasm or not...hmmmm. Anywho!

You'll be hearing about me and my wacky friends...we do have some random adventures so it should be quite entertaining! Hey, if you don't like it, you may be excused.

(On a side note, I do a lot of quoting, mostly from movies, if you know all the quotes hurrah for you, now stop watching movies and go outside!)

You know, I think that homework should be banned. I like the Greek system, learning was for learning, no work was actually done since only slaves did work (don't enjoy the slaves part) but I mean, that would allow there to be no tests, no essays, and no homework. I kinda like that system. I suppose all the dumb people that flunk out of school would then be allowed to stay...hmmm, there seems to be a flaw in my plan. We shall see. Maybe I can open my own school to test this out?! Mwahahaha! ("Sometimes when things aren't evil enough on there own, I like to add a mwahahaha").

Parents coming up tomorrow! Yay! I get to empty my room of some of my stuff to be sent back home, and that way, it is easier to move me out in April. I can't believe I finish in April, crayzee! Loverly though, then I can get back to the non-thinking life of just working. Strange though it is, I miss work since I don't need to do homework and think all the time, just do the routine and it is easy! Ahh the good life...sometimes. El gets a little strange at times...We shall see what it is like this summer.

Right, that seems enough for now, must go do more homework, last bit of the year, then I just get to study for my exams...Always a joyous occasion.

All things are possible, except skiing through a revolving door.
